El póker, físico u online, no se basa solo en la suerte; gran parte del juego está en saber valorar tus cartas en cada momento. Si no dominas el ranking, será imposible calcular probabilidades, decidir si apostar fuerte o retirarte a tiempo.
Conocer bien el valor de cada jugada te permite:
- Evitar errores de principiante.
- Aprovechar al máximo las manos fuertes.
- Detectar cuándo un rival puede estar intentando tirarse un farol.
Ranking de manos de póker
A continuación, el listado completo de combinaciones, ordenadas de la más poderosa a la más baja:
1. Escalera Real (Royal Flush)
- La mano más fuerte que existe. Se forma con 10, J, Q, K y As del mismo palo.
- Ejemplo: 10♠ J♠ Q♠ K♠ A♠
- Imbatible. Si tienes esta mano, ya puedes sonreír: has ganado.
2. Escalera de Color (Straight Flush)
- Cinco cartas consecutivas del mismo palo.
- Ejemplo: 6♥ 7♥ 8♥ 9♥ 10♥
- Solo pierde contra una escalera real.
3. Póker (Four of a Kind)
- Cuatro cartas del mismo valor.
- Ejemplo: A♦ A♠ A♥ A♣ + 5♣
- Una jugada muy fuerte que raramente se ve, pero que cuando aparece suele arrasar.
4. Full House
- Una combinación de tres cartas iguales más una pareja.
- Ejemplo: 9♠ 9♦ 9♥ + J♠ J♦
- Si hay empate, gana el que tenga el trío más alto.
5. Color (Flush)
- Cinco cartas del mismo palo, sin necesidad de que sean consecutivas.
- Ejemplo: 2♣ 6♣ 9♣ J♣ K♣
6. Escalera (Straight)
- Cinco cartas en orden numérico, aunque sean de palos distintos.
- Ejemplo: 4♦ 5♣ 6♥ 7♠ 8♣
- En caso de empate, gana la escalera más alta.
7. Trío (Three of a Kind)
- Tres cartas del mismo valor.
- Ejemplo: 7♠ 7♦ 7♣ + dos cartas cualquiera.
8. Doble Pareja (Two Pair)
- Dos parejas distintas más una carta extra.
- Ejemplo: Q♥ Q♣ + 5♠ 5♦ + 9♠
9. Pareja (One Pair)
- Dos cartas del mismo valor.
- Ejemplo: 10♦ 10♠ + tres cartas cualquiera.
- Es la jugada más común en póker.
10. Carta Alta (High Card)
- Cuando no tienes ninguna combinación, gana la carta más alta.
- Ejemplo: A♣ + 4♠ 7♦ 9♥ J♣
Consejos para memorizar el ranking de manos
- Piensa en lógica de rareza: cuanto más difícil de conseguir, más alto en el ranking.
- Asócialo a imágenes: la escalera real es «la jugada de película», el póker es «los cuatro iguales».
- Practica en partidas rápidas online: con la experiencia, recordarás el orden casi de forma automática.
Errores comunes que debes evitar
- Confundir escalera con escalera de color: no basta con que las cartas sean consecutivas; si no son del mismo palo, no es escalera de color.
- Creer que un color gana a un full house: el full siempre está por encima.
- Olvidar la importancia de los desempates: en muchas manos el kicker (carta extra) es decisivo.
